Why the name Coastal River?
Our company was founded within a 1-hour drive of nearly a dozen coastal black-water rivers such as the Lumber, the Pee Dee, the Waccamaw, and the Cape Fear. Being in the vicinity of these beautiful waterways with vibrant ecosystems is a constant inspiration to be mindful of how our design efforts promote a wiser use of the natural riches in our communities. Our name, Coastal River, reminds us of this value daily.

Highest Compliments from our Clients
I have been building custom residencies in the Eastern Carolina's for thirty plus years. Coastal River Engineering provides the most complete professional design and build support in the market place. Jim and his staff have a vast amount of experience to draw from to assist their clients projects. In this business you get what you pay for.
We have used Coastal River Engineering for all aspects of our project over the last year and have found the entire team to be one of the very best engineering firms in the NC/SC area. They are thoroughly knowledgeable of the state - county and municipal regulations and strive to achieve engineering solutions to achieve the clients goals in the most cost effective ways. They even go the extra mile to discuss alternate engineering options with bidding contractors to achieve the best cost solutions for the client. I would not hesitate to recommend Coastal River Engineering to anyone doing a residential or commercial project.
Very responsive, very knowledgeable, very timely. All I can ask for in one of our trade partners at Braddock Built Renovations. Thank you for being part of our team!
After a bad experience with a competitor, Coastal River Engineering was recommended to us for the up fit of a 5000 ft warehouse for a dog kennel and daycare. Jim, Joshua and the rest were fast, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. They saved us thousands of dollars by providing more cost effective options to our original plans. We would highly recommend these guys to anyone.
